Liberty Sedley 3 Tier Arts & Crafts Oak Bookcase
A lovely Arts and Crafts 3 tier oak bookcase, of pegged construction with pierced trefoils to the uprights, as retailed by Liberty and Co as "The Sedley", and dating to around 1900. The second of two I have currently for sale. Whilst unmarked it is a three tier variant of the 4 tier that is photographed in Daryl Bennetts excellent book on Liberty's Furniture. A strong and practical piece, with solid shelves and book stops to each shelf, it is in pretty good condition, commensurate with age, with a faint mark to the top shelf, as photographed. It measures 7.5cm max high, 60 cm wide, (with an internal measurement of 51cm), and and 19.5cm deep. The two shelves offer excellent practicality with a height of 26.5cm for the upper and 27cm for the lower. Delivery likely £60.00 within England and Wales and £72.00 to lower Scotland.
