Liberty Sedley 4 Tier Pegged Oak Bookcase Trefoils
A good solid Liberty Sedley Arts & Crafts oak bookcase, one of four similar bookcases I currently have in stock, dating to to circa 1900. It is a great design with lovely pierced trefoil details to the supports and pegged joints. This 4 tier model is illustrated in the Liberty's Furniture book by Daryl Bennett, as well as illustrated in their catalogues of the time. A really attractive design that is also so practical, it is offered in pretty good condition, commensurate with age, with good colour, albeit with minor markings to the shelves and an old elongated shallow chip to the bottom of the left hand upright. This is photographed in the last image. The bookcase measures 116.5cm high, 82.5cm wide and 23cm deep, with the shelves 23cm, 26cm and 28cm deep respectively.
