Lovely Arts and Crafts Oak Chest of Drawers, c1900
A lovely small Arts and Crafts oak chest of drawers, dating to around 1900-1910, fitted with two short drawers over two long. The brass handles are great and really set the golden oak off well. It measures 91.5cm wide, 79cm high and 49cm deep. It is in pretty good condition overall, commensurate with age, and looks great. Being really critical I have noticed that the two side pieces of the skirt are pine, not oak, although they are a similar colour so not noticeable. Also there are some slight signs of unevenness to the top - one section had a burn that has been sanded out and there are six small filled in holes to the rear where there may have been a superstructure. As you can see from the photos none of this is particularly noticeable. The price includes delivery within 30 miles of Taunton, Somerset.
