Margaret Gilmour Glasgow School Brass Planter 1910

Margaret Gilmour Glasgow School Brass Planter 1910
A Margaret Gilmour (1863 - 1942) Glasgow School brass oval planter or jardiniere, wonderfully decorated with butterflies and Glasgow roses, with wrythen ring turned handles. Dating to circa 1900 this is unmarked but is a known design that Margaret Gilmour produced. Much of the output from The Gilmour Studio was unmarked. Offered in good condition, commensurate with age, it has been polished but has retained good detail. There are some small holes in the extremities of the decoration to the sides, although they in no way affect its appearance and are only visible when looking closely. The piece measures 30cm wide, 13.5cm high and 19cm deep. The price includes mainland postage, please contact me for overseas delivery.
