Pair of Arts & Crafts Reclining Armchairs
A wonderful pair of oak Arts & Crafts reclining armchairs, dating to circa 1910, with easy to use sliding reclining mechanisms. Offered in good condition, commensurate with age, the oak frames have been refinished and the joints reglued where necessary. The upholstery is fairly recent and they are rather comfortable. One is slightly taller than the other but they are the same design and with identical upholstery. Minor faults are an old repair to the seat slider to one, a replaced nut to the reclining mechanism on the other and signs that they did have castors at some time. When I purchased them the castors were 1960's examples that I removed. They are a good height without but sympathetic reproduction castors could be added if required. One measures 102cm tall, 71cm wide and 86cm deep, the other 94cm high, 71cm wide and 88cm deep. Delivery within 30 miles of Taunton is included, please contact if further afield.
