Scottish Alexander Ritchie Charger Celtic Beasts
A fabulous large Scottish Arts & Crafts Celtic brass charger, dating to circa 1910-1920, decorated with a design attributed to Alexander Ritchie at Iona. The border is beautifully decorated with a band of assorted Beasts and Birds interspersed with Celtic bosses, and the centre has a band of entwined knot work. It is offered in good condition, commensurate with age, and measures 47.5cm diameter (18 3/4"). The price includes UK postage.
