Scottish Glasgow Brass Celtic Planter
A great Scottish Arts & Crafts brass planter, dating to circa 1910, decorated with Celtic motif in the Glasgow Style. A lovely design and practical too! It has suffered some wear over the years - there are a couple of splits to the top, one of the panels is also split along part of the design, probably where the design was chased too deeply, and there are signs of re-attachment to the inside of the corners. But it is strong and stable and the damage isn't that visible, and it is still eminently suitable for its intended purpose. It measures 23.5cm tall and 24.5cm square, with the opening 19.5cm square.
