Small Liberty Japanese Occasional Table
A lovely little Japanese carved hardwood occasional table, dating to circa 1910, and probably imported by Liberty and Co. Offered in good condition, commensurate with age, it is strong and stable and offered in good condition, commensurate with age. These are designed to slot together - pretty much early examples of flat pack furniture - but at some point early in its ownership somebody used brass dome top screws to keep it rigid. I have kept the screws in the legs that join the base shelf together but removed the three from the top that gave a raised surface and carefully infilled and colour matched the three holes. These are now very hard to spot! It measures 49cm high and 37cm diameter. The price includes UK postage. The final photo shows it along with two other similar tables currently for sale.
