Victorian Arts & Crafts Silver Plate Table Gong
A good quality Victorian silver plated brass table gong, dating to circa 1890, in the Arts & Crafts taste. The gong has a lovely tone and it is a great design. Perfect for the Christmas Table! Offered in good condition, commensurate with age, the silvered finish is good although there are a couple of places that could benefit from more cleaning. When purchased the frame was completely black and the gong held on by copper wire which meant it clanked rather than gonged! There is a little wear to the wood of the striker but it doesn't affect its use. It measures 23.5cm high, 18cm wide and 15cm deep, with the striker 27cm long. The price includes UK postage.
