W. H.Margetson Art Nouveau Flowers of the Field
A lovely Art Nouveau chromolithograph print after William Henry Margetson, dating to circa 1910, in original oval satinwood frame with applied gilt ribbon detail. The print is titled "Flowers of the Field" and the original work was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1901. It was painted as a companion piece to his most famous work "The Sea Hath Its Pearls". Mostly these are found in circular frames, but I personally think it looks better in an oval!. Offered in good condition, commensurate with age, with good colour. The reflections are purely on the glass. It measures 59cm tall and 76cm wide overall, with the print 41.5cm by 59cm. Please contact me for a delivery price.
