WMF Jugendstil Enamel & Silver Plate Vase
A rare German WMF Jugendstil Art Nouveau twin handle vase, dating to 1910-20, with enamel decoration. A striking design, it is offered in pretty good condition, commensurate with age. It was almost black when purchased and I have carefully removed the oxidised lacquer to expose the original silver plate below. There is a little rubbing and some light dents but overall it displays well and the enamels are in good condition. I was only able to find one more vase in this design and that was plain brass with no enamels. It measures 17cm high and a maximum diameter of 20cm at the handles. The price includes UK postage.
