Yattendon Arts & Crafts Copper Tankard, circa 1900

Yattendon Arts & Crafts Copper Tankard, circa 1900
A great Yattendon Arts & Crafts copper tankard, decorated with a floral pattern, and dating to circa 1900. The Yattendon School was founded in 1890 by Elizabeth Waterhouse, the wife of Architect Alfred Waterhouse. The decoration is pretty crisp and it is a nice design with its flared body and all over floral design. Signed in ink to the base by its workmen and numbered 3254 it is in pretty good condition, commensurate with age, with minor knocks to the base and rim. It would also benefit from a re solder to the body under the handle as it has opened slightly. The rivets for the handle keep it stable though. It measures 15cm high and 11.5cm diameter at the tin, 6.8cm at the foot. The price includes UK postage.
