Yattendon Arts & Crafts Copper Tankard Vase c1900

Yattendon Arts & Crafts Copper Tankard Vase c1900
A good Yattendon Arts & Crafts copper tankard or vase, dating to circa 1900. Yattendon did not mark its pieces but this bears all the hallmarks of their wares - fairly simple design but well-executed, flat tapering handle with spade end. A well-made piece with typical decoration and handle it also has an ink makers mark " C Ilsley 206/6 " to the base. Signed pieces are quite rare, according to Colin Pill's Arts and Crafts Metalwork website ( well worth a look!). Offered in good condition, commensurate with age, with some dents to the foot rim, it measures 19.5cm high, with the body 12cm diameter and a max width of 15.5cm to the handle.
